The up side is that most people who know my husband and me could not really classify us with the deviant group, as boring as we are.

I guess we're not LGBTQI+ anymore, we're two boring old white cisgendered men doing boring white cisgendered man-things.

Isn't that precisely the problem that some QuEEr people had with Pete Buttigieg (sp?) during the recent US election? He and his husband were a white, middle-class, cisgendered, suburban married couple and this simply wouldn't do. They didn't want Mr. Buttigieg from South Bend, Indiana, they wanted Mr. Slave from South Park, Colorado.

That really pissed me off when they were saying that. Like how fucking homophobic do you have to be to believe a guy married to a man isn’t gay because he acts too “straight.”
