Thought this was GC, these same topics in different subs get confusing.

Why is it wrong to focus on one issue that affects people like us? If everyone focused on everything, everywhere, all the time, nothing would ever get done

Because it looks like you're targeting miserable children... LGB adults saying LGB children should go through puberty (which is generally awful for girls) instead of blocking puberty to have the bodies they desire.

Every generation has medically exploited children... prozac kids, zoloft kids, now puberty blocker/HRT kids. Not to mention the birth control women/teen girls take and get sick from. All of this is connected.

First of all: we are not targeting miserable children, the drug companies, homophobes, and TRAs are! We are pushing back against that.

Second of all: prozac and zoloft don't even begin to approach the level of danger of Lupron and other "puberty blocking" drugs. Lupron literally rots your bones in your body. Kids shouldn't be given antidepressants, sure, but those aren't as dangerous, and are not given as a form of gay conversion therapy.

Third: Everyone on Earth goes through puberty, and yeah most girls hate it. A lot of us go through dysphoria or body dysmorphia of different levels. We also get over it. It's a normal part of growing up, and you're catastrophizing a universal, essential part of physically transitioning from childhood to adolescence to adulthood.

Finally: Nobody on Earth has "the bodies they desire". Everyone and I mean EVERYONE has issues with their own bodies. Even supermodels, even weightlifters, moviestars, people considered gorgeous. Nobody is satisfied with their appearance. Plastic surgery and transition takes advantage of some people who feel this, and convince them they will one day be satisfied if they have the next surgery, or next great drug. They will never "have the bodies they desire" b/c those drugs and surgeries are flawed and bring on a host of new issues. There will never be an endpoint where you fully have the body you desire, b/c it's a lie!
