I had one girl I used to hang out with say I should transition because "you'd be like a cute K pop guy". Wtf you're friends with my family! We're not even Korean! That's how I learned my friend was a homophobe and a racist.

More subtle, damaging pressure came from transwomen friends I made in my college's QSU. In a conversation, one of them said to me "I had to work to look this beautiful, I didn't have it easy like ciswomen. I mean, do you even want to be a woman?"

All of these vague phrases and platitudes and yet none of them address the actual core issues:

  1. are you tolerant of homosexuals being same-sex attracted?
  2. Do we have the right to free-association based on this? If not, why not?
  3. Do women have the right to free association based on our sex?
  4. Do female athletes have the right to compete exclusively with members of their sex?
  5. What are your opinions on the rampant, relentless, sexual harassment and abuse that the trans movement has inflicted on women and lesbians, gay men, and bisexual people, all clearly documented for all to see?

All these platitudes make these "inclusionists" look like ostriches, with their heads in the sand and asses in the air

Why does every post about how lesbians are "losing" trans men also completely ignore the fact that butch, masc, and gnc trans women are "arriving?" by censorshipment in LGBDropTheT

[–]GoValidateYourself 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This comment in the thread by a "butch lesbian transwoman" sums up everything wrong with the trans movement:

As a trans woman I will say that talking about my past or my experiences, whether I am speaking to things that are the same about all women or all lesbians or all butches, or different about us, is my business, for me to do on my time, when I feel safe. My situation at birth and the effect it has had on me is not for anyone to point out or discuss other than me, in any way ever, unless I ask them to, full fucking stop.

If this is "a conversation that needs to happen" and cis people want to have it then their only option is to try and make us feel safe enough overall that we can breach the topic and we can lead the discussion. Forcing this conversation on us or having a cis person lead is the problem. Not the topic itself.

So, if you, as a trans person, want to discuss how you feel, then you are allowed. My question, since I am allowed this stage too, is "why are we talking about it?" I have no problem sharing my intimate life experiences with people I trust and friends, regardless of their gender/sexuality status. But as you said, you do that too so it's not that you don't have an outlet.

What are we gaining by generalizing the unbelievably varied trans experience in public?

What are we trying to do by "having this conversation"?

He really can't see why women who've lived as gnc their whole lives might want to talk about their experiences as females, as people that went through female socialization and sex-based oppression, as homosexual women in a straight world. His comment reframes it all about "cis vs trans" instead of the material realities of living as males or females. He also individualizes it all, and makes it all about "personal experience" without recognizing that women talking about these issues are recognizing similarities as community or a class and relating to others.

He demands we don't talk amongst ourselves unless he leads and frames the whole conversation to suit him. This is the entire problem with males "identifying" as lesbians. They don't know what the fuck they, or we, are talking about but demand we shut up for their sake

The way they put same-sex attraction in scare quotes, when 1 or 2 years ago this was a perfectly standard, uncontroversial way to describe sexual orientation, even in woke circles. For the vast majority of people same and opposite sex attraction are non-controversial and easily understood.

The scramble and race to controversialize such basic terms shows how scared the TRA movement is. They're trying to make it impossible for us to describe our own love lives and experiences, because they know their gender ideology doesn't hold up to reality

Tbh one of the many, many things I love about my wife is we are super honest with each other about the fact we're both horny bastards. We're very attracted to each other and monogamous but we also look at other women and talk about them together. Like if we see a hot woman in a movie or a concert or on the street, we are unfiltered in our thoughts to each other. If we are out and about we keep the lewder comments for later at home ;)

At home watching a show she'll be like "I would let her sit on my face" and I'll be like "same!" LOL.

We're pretty lewd talking with our small handful of lesbian friends and they're pretty lewd talking with us, and the couples with each other. I get the sense the repression you talk about is a common phenomenon, and once we are in relationships or close friendships we let the words and thoughts free. I think your repression is probably part of why your fantasies are so frequent possibly. It will get better!

Kai this was so hard to read. 6 years ago I went through a bad spell of depression myself, even had a whole suicide plan. Looking back I'm so thankful I went to the health clinic instead of following through. It's hard to imagine a positive future when you're depressed, and with the schism happening in the gay community now, and feeling like the world has gone insane, it definitely adds to the stress. Please know that your life can change and get better in ways you never imagined. I never thought I'd meet anyone, but then I met and married the most amazing woman. I met gay friends who I never thought I'd meet. Finally people to relate to irl! Some of them don't agree with my gendercritical/radfem views but most, surprisingly do when you strip away all the labels and just talk about it in terms of policies and ideas. We also give each other space to disagree, and to just change the subject when we need to. That's okay too. I hope these things help you see that the loneliness and depression won't last forever, and life can change in wonderful, unexpected ways. Please don't do anything to yourself, try to talk to someone irl. Maybe a family member or a health professional. I only know you online, but I care and hope you think carefully before doing anything permanent.

I read about this study somewhere else. The 33% of gays and lesbians saying they would date a trans person were saying they would stay with their same sex partner if they transitioned (ie a lesbian would stay with her female partner who becomes a transman or a gay man would stay with his male partner who becomes a transwoman). They were also asked if they would go on a date with a same sex person who is trans, and 33% said yes. This confused the survey people, who called the gays and lesbians "incongruent" because they wouldn't date an opposite sex trans person. Almost zero percent, if I remember correct, would date "transbians" or trans gay men".

The fact that they stole the idea from an African American feminist who coined it to describe black women's experiences is the real irony; it was never supposed to be for ~everyone and anyone~ no dammit it's for black women!

This perfectly sums up why "gender identity" is irrelevant to defining sexual orientation: all we know is her "boyfriend"'s pronouns and gender identity: we don't know if the person is an actual man or woman. The poster is clearly a woman, despite her "nonbinary" green eyebrows. So she's either dating another woman who's also pretending to be a "nonman" or a man, pretending to be a "nonman". Queer theory language obscures it on purpose.

It has been considered that the procedure could be trialled on those who were born biologically male using the organs of dead donors or women who have since transitioned to become men and had their wombs removed

This is sick. How many women are going to stop checking 'yes' on an organ donor card when they get wind of this? Who wants to bet if this becomes normalized there's going to be a shortage of female organ donors? Most people wouldn't think twice about donating a kidney, an eye, or part of a liver after death, but I can't see any women being okay with this.

  1. I never had a "dream wedding" and neither did my wife.

  2. We did a courthouse wedding 2 months ago, because why not? We were planning to spend our lives together anyway and we decided to make it official. We've been together 4 years and covid, lockdowns, global chaos made us realize a lot of stuff we should have realized sooner. Imo I wouldn't have had it any other way.

  3. I had never been to a same-sex wedding before my own, and neither had my wife.

  4. Weddings in my country are pretty varied. Some people go religious some go secular/court. We're atheists so we went to the courthouse. Some go for a big party others go for a simple dinner. It really depends on the couple.

  5. For our anniversaries we normally walk up to the cafe where we met and sometimes get dinner out. The last one we just stayed in and ordered pizza due to lockdown in our state. We didn't mind, we're both pretty chill.

Ps. Congrats on your (new?) child!

These "male lesbians" have a power tripping and emotional manipulation fetish. They get off on the fact that they can force women to "see" them as "women" and call them woman/she/her.

It's a trend that has its roots in postmodernism deconstructing of boundaries and categories, essentially saying society determines how we "see" people as female/male, and not you know, millions of years of human sexual selection to be able to accurately detect sex at a glance.

They get off on the power to make women see and say something that is so obviously false. I think they get off on making people say and "believe" absurd things, probably as much as they get off on autogynephilia. Btw if you don't know what AGP is, look it up now.

Your coworker's situation is not isolated. This has been a malicious, homophobic trend since 2012. Read these links for more insight, and if you feel comfortable share them with your coworker too. It might help her see she's not alone:

People absolutely have distinct smells. My partner has her own smell. She showers every morning but still has her own smell after a shower, and it certainly isn't BO or sweat or anything like that. It's her natural pheromone smell, mixed with a hint of her shampoo and her favorite tea. I find it a very attractive smell. I could only smell it after our first few times having sex. She says I have my own body scent too. Sometimes when she's working late I sleep on her side of the bed b/c her smell feels so comforting and safe.

My ex had her own smell too, and so my sisters and brothers and parents. The sisters smell way different than the brothers, and I believe it is a hormonal/pheremonal difference. In my experience you can pick up pheromone smells after spending a lot of time with people, or living with them.

Of course this comment got downvoted to hell on a trans sub:

This probably isn't a welcome comment, but the TERFs over on gendercritical were posting about this for the last year, and warning about this kind of thing for longer than that. No one paid any attention, in fact a lot of you were very abusive and dismissive.

AC and pals were largely behind that sub getting yeeted. Looking back, this looks less like an action against hate speech and more a bunch of "pedo adjacents" seeking to silence those who were concerned about their having such access to kids and teens as mods in a position of power and trust.

You'd hope Reddit is looking through all their PM's.

This might be a argument for anyone modding subs aimed at kids to go through the same kinds of background tests as teachers etc.

Everything in that comment is true: r/gendercritical was warning that most of the lgbt subs are modded by the same aggressive, power-hungry, predatory people that have nothing better to do than mod subreddits all day long. They create an illusion of false consensus on weird ass issues that wouldn't gain any traction otherwise (like gay people are "gential fetishists" and bio sex is a "social construct"). Bullshit that is so obviously false, and then they sneak in pedo shit to groom minors! Those subreddits need to be frozen and all the mods investigated!

How did we come to the point where the younger generation just rolls over and readily accepts that 'homosexuality' does not mean 'males into males' and 'females into females'? Why do gays and lesbians so meekly accept being defined out of existence?

I'm one of the "younger generation" and I don't accept it at all, and I know a small handful of people IRL around my age who don't accept it either. All of us are terrified of losing our jobs or getting doxxed, harassed, sent threats. I am ashamed every day of being a coward about this. I think for the LGB people who are TRAs and parrot the TWAW and TMAM lies, they wish they could convince themselves, b/c the truth is too miserable.

I used to follow a blog years ago that was mostly fandom, and the writer was a lesbian. She got anonymous messages several times a week from people demanding to know if she was attracted to transwoman, or if she would date a transwoman. It was at the level of harassment. She always replied super diplomatically, saying, "why are you asking such personal stuff online" and "why are you messaging a stranger about dating", always keeping it polite. I stopped reading her blog, and decided to look it up recently out of curiosity. It was full on TRA blog! All TRA validation. Why such a hard pivot? I saw the same thing with the blog of the girl who got beat up by Transactivists in St. Louis a couple years ago. After she got beat she took a hard pivot and started fawning over trans ideology. It's a bizarre pattern.

I'll never understand how pronouns are supposedly more fundamental information on a person that their sexual orientation, especially on a fucking dating app!

Especially on a supposed "lesbian" dating app. Isn't the whole point that you don't have to walk on eggshells and wonder if the woman is gay? The whole point of a lesbian dating app is that sex and sexual orientation to females should be a given! Not some verboten concept you have to use silly, woque euphemisms for! Like "queer" or whatever that are serve no purpose and give no information.

I originally read that in the comments of this article:

https://www.gendertrending.com/2019/08/13/media-blackout-on-dana-rivers-michfest-murder-trial/

A person in the comments claims to have insider information on his motive, but idk about proof. It could be wrong. I read in another article that the police claimed it might have been a "property dispute". That doesn't seem likely to me, b/c the murder was so brutal and violent. It seems very personal. I believe the rejection motive over the property motive, but we won't know for sure until that monster is tried.

I don't know about anyone else, but I find this seriously concerning. It's a violation of people's privacy, and effectively puts a red target on their back for TRA who are itching to doxx and terrorize people. Someone labeled a "terf" by this stupid extension could be tracked by a rabid transwoman itching to "kill a terf" and literally murdered. They did this before "shinigami eyes". "Dana" Rivers, one of the anti-Mitchfest terrorists murdered a lesbian couple and their son, burning down their home, because they refused to have a threesome with him.

The fact that anyone could side with these people is baffling to me at this point.

Specifically:

  1. the right to sex-segregated spaces. Including but not limited to: bathrooms, prisons, shelters, changerooms, clubs.

  2. The right to free association. Women cannot organize among themselves without the presence of males. We can't start a women's book club, or music festival, or lesbian rights organization, or support group, and be able to specify who it's by and for. We always get some blue-haired man demanding to be let in, and threatening rape, arson, or murder for "excluding" him. Or nailing dead rats to the door. See for example: Vancouver Rape Relief. Or, we get whiny regular men white-knighting for the TRAs, like you.

  3. The right to free speech. We are now compelled to call a man a woman. Which is a fucking lie. We're being compelled to lie by law. Let that sink in.

So why should able-bodied women have access to scholarships that disabled women don't? If sports are for rewarding biological advantage, and trans women are biologically better at sports than cis women (in your words, not mine), logically sports scholarships SHOULD go to trans women instead of cis women, the same way they go to able-bodied women instead of disabled women.

Because transwomen are men. The whole notion of "transwoman" is a social construct. Males shouldn't compete against females. Period. Whining and calling us transphobic, and comparing "transwomen" to disabled women is a nonstarter.

I also get the impression you're not an athlete and have never played a sport. LOL only the people who have never played any sport can make your argument.

If a woman sees a transwoman acting creepy in a change room, shelter, prison, bathroom, or any other female space, she can't confront him, or ask authority to get him to leave. The real woman would be smeared with the label "transphobe" or "terf" and be arrested for hatespeech, or discrimination. So it eliminates female spaces, and removes recourse for woman wronged by transwomen.

Especially not people on fucking Twitter. Those people aren't your community, and they aren't your friends. Oh no, they're not faking. Some straight men genuinely can't understand why some lesbians like masc/androgynous women, and the reverse for straight women who can't understand why some gay men like feminine/androgynous men. They're confusing gender presentation with biological sex and sexuality.

The way I've explained it to my straight male friends is, no matter how "manly" a woman dresses, or if she has short hair, when the clothes come off she's still entirely female. It's really that simple.

You're probably right. A lot of these men transition b/c they think women have an easier or softer life than men (look at r/transmaxxing for direct examples). They freely admit to wanting a softer life, softer expectations, being able to show emotions more freely (LOL as if), want to be treated soft for "looking pretty", etc. All of that amounts to infantilizing women.

Then the pedophilia. That anime porn bullshit gives me the fucking creeps! Those cartoon women have little girl or baby faces, and show emotions in child like ways, childish expressions etc, but with ultra-sexualized, adult women bodies. I hate it.

[–]GoValidateYourself 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly! Their entire base of support is predicated on ignorance of the issues, or activists and policymakers pretending to be ignorant. I have never seen this in other activist movements. That's why I'm like 90% sure transactivism will fail. No movement totally predicated on either malice or ignorance can hold up forever.

Other examples of this are people saying "this never happens!" to cotton ceiling bullshit, or transwomen raping women in prisons or shelters, or transwomen being sex pests, or gaydens harassing gay men and being ridiculously homophobic. "This never happens" meaning they are pretending they don't see it, so they don't have to take responsibility.

But a politician replying to a straightforward, specific question about trans policy with feigned ignorance, and then a slogan/platitude is the deathwatch beetle of the trans movement.

This is completely horrid. The only thing that helps is seeing all the comments in the Twitter thread calling it out, seeing exactly the things we are seeing! What vile, manipulative, disgusting, homophobic propaganda! This needs to be in a museum of propaganda someday. Jesus H Christ.

As a side note: why the fuck are there whole chapters on PiV and PiA if the fragile, gentle widdle twanswomen are supposedly too dysphoric to ever dream of using their cocks? It is so gentle and girly, and oh so harmless, you can pretend it's not there! Oh, but some of the cartoon trans-identified males have half-hard boners? Hmmm. Why could that be? They are always sooo dysphoric!

Side-side note: Why the fuck are transmen included in the cartoon "girls"? They and transwomen are always screeching about how transmen aren't lesbians, don't date lesbians, have nothing to do with lesbians. But, they always insist on including themselves! Not just here, but Aydian Dowling (transman) promoting HER, and the transman fujoshi being included in the main cast of L Word reboot. I could think of a hundred other examples. They insist on inviting themselves, but them turn around and scream at the lesbians for not kicking them out of lesbian spaces? What the actual fuck?

Rainbow’s reply said: “be careful...there’s some elements of the trans agenda being sneakily promoted through this campaign”.

Damn straight. There's nothing bigoted about that statement, as it's fact.

Fozzy said trans people are just as vulnerable to conversion therapy as gay people and said he thought Rainbow’s comment was “unnecessary.

Conversion therapy is about turning ssa people into heterosexuals. It only cares about "gender identity" to the extent that it's an indicator of sexuality. That's what these people miss: Gender non-conformity is oppressed mostly because to most people it indicates that the person is homosexual. Gnc oppression cannot be separated from homophobia, and a lot of so-called "transphobia" is just homophobia or misplaced homophobia.

Transition is the new conversion therapy, just a medicalised, usually secular form of it. You cannot protect LGB youth while promoting "gender clinics" and all the medical malpractice they do. It's that simple.

Just from personal experience, myself and the grand total of three (3) millennial/gen-z lesbians I know, including my partner, went through phases where we identified as bi, nonbinary, trans, pan, or asexual, or combinations of these. 5 years ago I was deep in TRA woo woo, and all my friends at my QSU identified as some flavor of trans or enby or pan. One guy was a normal gay gay, and that was it. I didn't know any self-identified lesbians, at all. Not until I left that circle and met one, and got to be friends with her and her gf. They broke up eventually but I stayed friends with both.

Growing up, I knew an older lesbian couple that lived on the next block, they always came to the block party in the summer, and neighborhood events. So until I was 20, I had known 4 lesbians in my life, 1 elderly couple and 1 young couple. I did know lots of trans people, and enbies, and bi and "queer" girls (most of whom only dated men but liked women celebrities) once I got to college.

I think part of it is stigma, causing dis-identification with the lesbian label. Also a minefield of identity politics, what you described as the woke crowd, eager to go on cancelling sprees for the tiniest offense.

The trans shit really turns a lot of women away too, b/c they don't want to become an acceptable target for transwomen bullies. If they come out as lesbian and get bullied into putting up with dick, why bother coming out? Isn't it easier to stay closeted and put up with dick with a non-mentally disturbed man?

That's a great observation! It's true, insults vs threats are a world of difference. I feel like it's something else too though, like word choice and sentence style. It's weird. Like I used to love fanfiction, and could always tell if a story was written by a man or woman. Same way I can usually tell when a woman character is written by a man, and I'm guessing men can tell the same about men characters written by women. It's just different in some way! I don't know what it is!

Kindness is not an all or nothing game. It is situational, and most people would agree with me on that. If you go through life acting like an asshole that's your choice. I will say this: everyone has issues with their appearance. If you consider yourself ugly well most of the world also considers themselves ugly. Having a medical condition is not the same as opting to alter your body. It's really that simple.

People with CAIS phenotypically are women, they are born with female genitalia and have other female characteristics. They don't have female reproductive organs (womb, ovaries). The purpose of women's spaces is to protect women from male violence. Genetically normal males are stronger than genetically normal females 99% of the time, along with potential for rape and killing women through beatings. A person who is phenotypically female (including born with female genitalia) needs protection from male violence and doesn't have the potential to beat a woman to death or rape her. Acknowledging grey areas and making reasonable accommodations for people with intersex conditions is simply the humane thing to do.
