You can't decouple liberalism from authoritarianism anymore, that ship has sailed unfortunately.

Hard disagree since I manage to not be authoritarian just fine. Not that I get the impression you commented in good faith.

Of course there are exceptions, but authoritarians have taken over the party. You're well in the minority now. We're here because we committed thought crimes against the left and they banned our subs from reddit.

Ok but you’re conflating liberalism and the Democratic Party. I agree that the latter is abandoning liberal principles.

They're redefining it, just like they redefine everything else :-/ I consider myself a classic liberal but I don't think that's going to mean anything much longer.
