This is a great video that a lot of people who default to conceptualizing transgenderism as the new gay rights. I hate when TRAs say that LGB and T need to affirm and validate each other. We don’t require any validation or affirmation other than love/forbearance from active discrimination. Sasha nails it. And even if we don’t get it from our families we find our own sources, do our thing, and move on with our lives. We don’t even need people to “understand” us or our experiences.

We would be in a very different place if people like Sasha were setting the standard of care for kids who claim a gender identity. She is very knowledgeable, respectful compassionate and I’ve found her insights valuable when she’s appeared on Benjamin Boyce’s channel. By TRA standards, she is advocating for conversation therapy, which is why this video needs to be shared to show how ridiculous that is.

Speaking of which, I’m tired of hearing TRAs misappropriate the term “conversion therapy” as an act of forced teaming with gay and bisexual people and to leech off the public goodwill built by gay and bisexual people.

Thought everyone would find this interesting and informative. Sasha Ayad is a therapist who mainly works with trans-identified teens, so she has some insight into the difference between LGB and TQ+.
