What is the endgame with all this child-focused promotion?

Socialisation and indoctrination.

Children don't have the critical thinking skills to question the message and are likely to take it on board wholeheartedly.

There is a considerable amount of socialisation and indoctrination in all societies, it's just a lot of it drummed into us from when we are very young, so it becomes not noticeable to adults. However travelling to another country where you understand the language can highlight the socialisation and indoctrination that is happening there.

Traveling to New Zealand will highlight how the government promotes extreme fear and uncertainty about nuclear energy and genetically modified organisms, whilst someone from NZ traveling to the US would notice over the top extreme patriotism that is used to try to keep the US together even if it is a melting pot of different contradictory interests. If it happens from a young age, people just don't notice it happening.

Agreed. Here in the US we are fed patriotism from kindergarten on.

That's why Tran, Inc. is so smart (and wicked) starting their propaganda now in pre-kindergarten with the nationwide annual reading of "I AM JAZZ" about the poor kid whose mother decided he was transgender when he was too young to be anything

You are so right, living in different countries it really is interesting how certain issues are prioritized and some are not.

Grooming.

I disagree with most people here: the main point of this whole drag kids craze is not 'indocrination' or 'grooming', but commoditization of drag culture.

A common talking point present in this whole 'drag kids' debate is the notion that drag is no different of playing dress up, which is reductionist at best and a lie at worst. They draw such parallels by scrubbing away the whole sexual aspect of drag, which is intrinsic not only to the performance itself, but also to the whole social context that surrounds it.

The endgame? To make drag seem innocent enough to be marketed to kids and even to other social groups outside to it's tradicional gay niche.

Grooming and confusing children.

In the US, it's just crazy how parents are being sucked into all this. Even a few years ago, parents would have been horrified at an overtly sexual show by a man dressed like a stripper, now, because it's WOKE, they're exposing their kids to pedophile grooming. At libraries, no less!

This is VERY disturbing.

Anyway, I'm starting to get more and more convinced this is an attempt by the government(s) to get a good number of kids sterilized and reduce overpopulation. However, because governments are dumb, I think this isn't even a conscious plan, but an instinctive propaganda.

Showed this to my mother and she couldn’t watch it. She was disgusted.

Why can’t these people just leave the children alone. This is why Russia and Poland don’t want us adopting their orphans.

If this is the reason, then it's a very dumb one.

Most of the parents who are pushing this shit on their kids are straight, middle class wokesters who want to virtue signal and not gays and lesbians who adopt kids.

Russia is a country that has a quite robust legislation on the whole gender identity thing, which includes self id laws. On the other hand, the mere mention of same-sex parents is outlawed under the assumption of "gay indoctrination".

That is definitely true, but gay and lesbian people are unfortunately going to get blamed for this because LGBT activists are in favour of transing children.

By the way, WTF, Russia has self-ID laws? Is their government really that stupid?

The whole transgender debate is a sinking ship that many gay and lesbian associations refuse to jump out of. When everything goes to shit, it will have a ripple effect that will affect not only the T but also the LGB by association, which is interesting since most of the trangenders today are straight.

By the way, WTF, Russia has self-ID laws? Is their government really that stupid?

Yes to both questions.

Only recently has any debate about limiting said self-id laws arrised.

I support the new law on ending gender recognition in Russia, but I am definitely against banning LGB people from fostering children.

[–]Shadow_Lurker 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's not even a full ban but more like gatekeeping, which again is the same thing as genocide according to TRAs, so yeah...

The funniest thing of all? This was based more on the behaviour of western transgender it's ma'am-ists than on the actual russian public opinion in regards of transgenderism.

That does not surprise me. I see polls from countries that are more conservative than Russia, and according to these polls, most people in these countries support transgender rights. Maybe the polls are skewed, but I honestly believe that most people in those countries are just ignorant about transgenderism. I’d say it’s the same in Russia. Most Russians probably confuse transgender people with drag queens. Russians I’ve spoken to on Reddit have said that most Russians think that all gay men are effeminate and therefore think that MTFs are just next level gay. When they see a gay man who is masculine they tend to be surprised. I wonder if that is true.
