I disagree with most people here: the main point of this whole drag kids craze is not 'indocrination' or 'grooming', but commoditization of drag culture.

A common talking point present in this whole 'drag kids' debate is the notion that drag is no different of playing dress up, which is reductionist at best and a lie at worst. They draw such parallels by scrubbing away the whole sexual aspect of drag, which is intrinsic not only to the performance itself, but also to the whole social context that surrounds it.

The endgame? To make drag seem innocent enough to be marketed to kids and even to other social groups outside to it's tradicional gay niche.
