That's the reason for the different label in this case. I would support this notion for lesbians and gay men as well—the overwhelming majority of whose opinions I've heard about this here and elsewhere do not skew toward including trans people in their dating pools. TRAs love to label things, so they should be able to manage this accurately. (Except of course for how they benefit from riding on LGB street cred. If they were respecting that, cool, but the people who have turned it into a cult sure don't. So no misappropriation of terms for them. They need to find their own, not keep trying to repurpose ours.)
