Her views were the most progressive they could possibly be without canceling her own sexuality.

This hits the nail on the head. It doesn’t matter how accommodating gays and lesbians are to trans people. If we don’t deny our homosexuality, we’ll still be labeled as TERFs and transphobes. There’s no point in trying to win because the game is rigged.

This! Unless a lesbian says she will accept "lady cock" she is considered a terf and unless a gay man says he would accept "boy pussy" he is considered transphobic. You won't be considered a good person until you deny your sexual orientation and fall in line. If a 6ft5 beard man says he's a woman, you must not question, you must accept. It's like a cult, you are not to question the o' mighty leader, if they say 2+2=5 then it MUST be true, if you object, your fellow members will shame you into submission. They will shame and bully this girl until she finally breaks and either becomes a "terf" or a full fledged TRA.

Yes. Even lesbians and gay men who pretend they’d be okay with “girldick” and “boypussy,” respectively, aren’t safe. Trans people still bitch that they’re all talk and secret transphobes. If you aren’t fucking someone of the opposite sex, you can’t win with them. We might as well just own our homosexuality, trans feelings be damned.

I think one of the most common answers about this issue is "oh but nobody is asking you to date trans", "it's fine to have genital preferences", etc.

At first it might seem a reasonable view, but it's very insiduous because it's gaslighting. In the same thread you might see people saying that no, gays have to find FtM attractive, lesbians have to find MtF attractive. But the "it's fine to have genital preferences" crowd will try to make it seem like you're exaggerating the issue.

People will stand in support for the "how dare you not like my genitalia" crowd, but when they know it'll look bad they pretend this crowd never existed.

Edit: By the way, about gay porn. A point I've seen a lot is "actually most FtM don't want to use their female genitalia, so it shouldn't be an issue for you to have sex with them". And these people obviously support more FtM actors in gay porn.

I've checked some profiles of these FtM actors (unfortunately many "gay" companies and actors are making porn with FtM) and I don't think I've seen one that didn't showcase female genitalia. There are many cis bottom men who like wearing jockstraps to hide their penis during sex, but not one FtM did the same. It's not even that they used their genitalia sometimes, it's more that every picture was centered around it.

The worst part is that they infest and dominate so many social media platforms that they can gaslight her into thinking their poisonous behavior is widespread, normal, and acceptable, and that she's the bully here.
