can confirm, was around when it was just LGB. I never understood why the T was attached in the first place. Sure, back in the day most of them started out as homosexuals, but they only hung out with us until they could pass. After that, it was bye bye homos.

Can also confirm. This transgender bullshit was not a thing. At all. Transsexuals and transvestites were around, but very rare and way off to the side.

HRC officially added the T in September 2001. Interesting that was the month of the 9/11 terror attacks. Probably coincidence.

No idea, but "LGBT" was increasing in prevalence in the few years before that so that sounds about right.
