I found this twitter thread about a lesbian on tiktok who said it was not transphobic to not like dick. Predictably, the TRAs freaked out and she's attempting to profusely apologize and they just don't care. But no one's forcing lesbians to like dick, right?

Someone with TikTok should connect with her, calm her down and help her to understand that this is just plain homophobia. Those TRA are literally same people who were beating homosexuals 50 years ago, or maybe even worse. And question like "Do you hurt them, or do they hurt you?" should make her realize what is happening too. No need for political help, just human help.

Nowadays TQ+ not just have different goals and unrelated approaches with LGB, but TQ+ are actively trying to destroy LGB. Long time since homophobia on west was so agressive and huge.

Edit: in answers to that tweet, there her other videos, and screens of homophobic bullies with "to stop harassment you need to sleep with transbian with penis, or we will not believe you are sincere apologizing". And of course they will not stop bullying no matter what. And more weakness you show, the stronger they will attack. It is like with Terrorists - no negotiations. In our country our president recently fullfilled wish of one terrorist who took hostages. And you know what? Now almost daily new someone is trying to take hostages and ask something for themselves.

Heard that she's already apologised and made a video of her sobbing due to all of the harassment. She's unfortunately already given in.

So sad to see young lesbians and other women being told their sexuality is not considered 'inclusive' and that they must conform in order to not be transphobic.

For now at least. I've seen this happen in other cases where they start off like this saying they're not TERFs, why are TERFs supporting me i'm not one of you, and then they pop up a year later like "yeah i peaked."

Help should not come in a way "hello, I am terf, and they all wrong and shit". It should be just supportive "you aren't wrong, I am with you, don't be sad please, it is fine to not like dick, I am lesbian like you [if you are one of cource], don't afraid of homophobes, it is same like 30 years ago, if all they can give hate, then don't give them back your love and don't let them force you to do what you don't want to do", and similar things. And explain her that mob is labeling as "TERF" everyone there who is slightly against their rhetorics, even their own transwomen.

Yeah, I agree I certainly wouldn't send a message like "Hi, I'm a terf, here's some terf articles to read about how we support you" and the last time I saw something like this happen (pxr on tumblr) people were definitely doing that. I'm just saying that even if she says she supports TRA idealogy after getting harassed by them now, there's a very good chance she will change her mind later. But you are absolutely correct that what she needs is support of a non political nature.

This is what happened to me. The problem is that they attack their allies. I was on the trans train, but the hate didn’t stop. It wasn’t enough that I agreed with 99%, the 1% that I didn’t agree with made me an irredeemable monster unless I was immediately willing to change my mind. I’m not a TERF now either, but I am definitely a lot more sympathetic to how TERFs became so vocal

Even if you did immediately change your mind, they wouldn't have accepted it. The TRA inability to accept apologies and constant hostility towards everyone is our greatest asset. Even if the tiktok girl herself doesn't agree with us there are probably other people who are watching this mess right now questioning if the TRAs are really as much of victims as they say.

That doesn't meen that she need no help. And even worse will be if there will be no one to stop her from "going to sleep with transbian to stop harassment". Because it will not stop harassment and will only hurt her soul even more. So many young lesbians went through this. My closes friend is lesbian and she tried so hard to be straight, to date men and "fix herself", that I just can't watch calmly at this girl living through the same hell, but this time forced not by patriarchic society but forced "by friends from LGBTQ+".

I agree. I don't have and won't get a TikTok account, but it may be helpful for her to understand that there is nothing she can say, no middle ground that will please them. No matter how polite she is, they will read vitriol into her words, accuse her of violence, blame her for murder and suicides, and try to cancel her. I grew up with a physically violent narcissist for a sister and she was terrifying enough but... I genuinely can't understand how someone can say something like that, nevermind to someone who is obviously having a potential mental health crisis, and stand to live with themselves. Damn I just saw what I think is the full extent of it. She made a video saying that it's not transphobic to not be attracted to male genitalia because as a lesbian she's wired to be that way and even said if other lesbians are into it, that's fine for them (always that concession that will never get treated like the ridiculously large concession it is).

She clearly thought she was being misunderstood and mislabeled a TERF so she kept trying to explain herself and faced more and more vicious hate until she finally broke down crying and apologized. Just absolutely ludicrously disgusting. But no one is saying you have to like girldick my ass. Where the hell are the LGBT organizations on this shit? This is so, so, so mind-blowingly disgusting.     Absolutely. Not everyone with an anime profile picture is a trans person, and not every trans person has an anime profile picture. There's simply a large trend toward it, to the point where if you see a person online express very "woke" opinions and also have an anime profile picture (particularly of anime girls,) more often than not you would be right if you assumed it to be a trans person. If one could gamble on this issue, one would stand to win out in the long-term if one were to bet every such person is trans. The reason why is most likely that anime appeals exactly to the kinds of men specifically who will begin to identify as trans women: it is highly sexualized (very male gaze-y), appeals to people who see themselves as outsiders, who lack social skills, who are entertained by rather transparent male power fantasies and who spend a lot of time online.

    It's not as easy, tough guy. Us women are hardwired by both biology and society to comply. To be nice. To not be aggressive. Again: both our very biology and society as a whole makes us women like this.

    Assertive women are hardly popular, aren't they? Society hates those.     It’s never been easy for LGB, lesbians are hated for a reason, and it’s because we have had to toughen up. She will get there eventually. Being LGB in this world means you have to be resilient and resist, I think this new generation didn’t have to fight as much, which is great, but also keeps them quite vulnerable.     It’s definitely a loss of innocence. I think lots of these women are accepted with open arms and feel like they have a community and find out its conditional.     And I do think you have a point that thanks to the work of their forbears, it's probably been easier for some young women to be accepted as a sexual minority than it was for earlier generations, which easily could set them up to not see this coming or be adequately circumspect.     Biology doesn't care. Having far less testosterone than men makes a different, as well as socialization. It can change when you get older and especially if you work on your mind through philosophy concepts like stoicism, but when you're so young being very insecure is totally normal. I know how she feels, women in general know how she feels. She needs support, not blame.

There was another response that said 'male and female are biological terms', and I literally can't tell if that was intended as a criticism or not, it's such a clown world.     They generally only default to “sex exists, we’re just saying our GENDER is different” when they get called out on poor behavior. Before that they’re all for attacking gay people for not liking the opposite sex, demanding access to women’s healthcare, etc. If this was just about people going “hey, I identify differently than my sex, but I understand the reality that sex matters as well as gender :)” none of this would ever happen.

    Young girl came out into the world, into LGBTQ+ community (which is supposed to be Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Queer and allies) bravely saying she is a lesbian - and got hate instead for being "wrong".     Like it was in Vancouver Women's Library.
