Bi guy here. Where once I was more nonchalant about people finding out, I'm not dating anyone, and probably won't for the near future, so I've learned to shut the fuck up and just let people assume I'm straight to avoid the spotlight. People have already been saying for a long time that bisexuals are "exclusionary" (even before gay/lesbians were, lol) and it's only getting worse. For some reason everyone assumes we're all just fast and loose with everyone, with no standards, and if we don't fuck them it's some sort of personal attack.

I mean, it's become that way for everyone these days, but still.

We're all in this together as a team. We're all clearly getting harassed for one reason or another for simply existing and having our own sexual orientation... We don't control who we're attracted to. I'm also considering lying if I meet a trans woman and tell her I'm straight so that she won't ever come nearby me. Many trans women are obsessed with lesbians ew.

They're pushy, ex-men displaying their male privilege and arrogance -- all spaces are their spaces, dontchaknow.

Just tell them you aren't feeling any chemistry with them -- they can't argue with that one and you don't have to explain yourself in any way.

Do you think the reason might be that bisexuality isn't even considered a sexual orientation, and, therefore, gets interpreted as either "hearts not parts" or "anything that moves"? So rather than being "attracted to both sexes", we're "attracted to EVERYONE" (not at ALL the same thing!)? Meaning sexually-indiscriminate on the one hand, or like some hippy-dippy Jesus (all-loving, or at least all-boinking) on the other? Thus having no "excuse" for turning anyone down... especially when it's "understood" that we're DTF every other member of the human race, by definition.

To me, this looks like the result of monosexism: if sexual orientation is assumed to be monosexual, then our sexuality obviously doesn't qualify. So it's not oriented towards biological sex (both of them, in our case); instead, it has no specific direction, or, therefore, limitation... which is how we end up here. With us bisexuals supposedly having pre-approved the entire world's junk.

Thoughts on this imbecilic and infuriating state of affairs?
