She was killed for heresy, the whole claiming to speak for god thing. At least officially. Less officially it was because she was a great military leader who inspired the French troops and the English and Burgundians couldn't have that continue.

Not sure what clothing they expected her to wear though. For purely practical reasons she had to wear men's clothing since there wasn't any women's clothing that was suitable for the battlefield.

Can't be that she found one of the only possible paths out of female oppression to do something she wanted. No, it had to be that she was not actually a woman because how dare she not just meekly follow the societal roles set out for her!

Or, she was a woman who was not constrained by GENDER roles, she did not find a new room in the gender prison to express herself in.
