Here's what's going to happen in the future: the next time a they/them applies for a job, the employer won't even call they/them for an interview. If the pronouns emerge during the interview itself, the employer will find some non-pronoun-related reason not to hire they/them. The risk of being taken to a tribunal and fined $30,000, and then having to sit through gender-identity "training", is absolutely not worth it. If you're an employer and are having that much trouble finding qualified staff, offer better pay. You'll probably save money in the long run.
