If this specific issue, violence against women, were the only example then I'd ask where are these decent jurisdictions. But, I'm not asking that at all because across a whole range of issues we see there is no such thing as a decent jurisdiction where "legal" logic does anything other than protect the legal institutions made up of lawyers (judges, prosecutors, title lawyers, corporate lawyers, defense attornies, etc) or their law enforcement agents. Everyone once in awhile they will sacrifice one of the own for the good of their community (not anyone else's) but it is to protect the institution. There are whole ranges of cases where prosecutors and their law enforcement agents essentially frame medical professionals and lie about the law to do it, and judges who went along with their lies about the law in the past are in too deep as an institution to find a way to back out gracefully from their share of a "usurpation of legislative authority". The justice system has become a misnomer as the worst of the worst find protection from their own kindred spirits as the worst of the worst, and where together they conspire day after day and year after year and generation after generation to make life a hell on earth for everyone who is not one of them.
