Also, we can't speak of "the homeless" as a monolith. Male and female single individuals who become homeless usually end up that way for different reasons than mothers with children, couples with children and single dads with children do. And the age and point in their lives that unattached male and female individuals are in when they become homeless is a big factor too.

From what I can tell, this shelter has individual rooms, which lowers its capacity, but hopefully it will reduce the instances of sexual assault, because a lot of male trans people can be really predatory towards female and male people.

My understanding is that this facility will have all SRO (single room occupancy) spaces. Which means it will be entirely for trans people who are single, excluding couples, throuples, and any parents with children in tow. I think catering to single people will make it a magnet for lone wolf male predators and vulnerable men and women without partners to help defend and stick up for them.
