I think it is as simple as co-opting racial civil rights language to lend historical authenticity and victimhood to the nouveau issue of gender identity. The same reason Biden's new gender identity executive order references black people. They are trying to equate gender identity with advancing black civil rights. It pisses me off.

Look how fast BLM demonstrations and its mission statement started to prioritize black trans lives (and if "transwomen" are indeed women, wouldn't they just fall under prioritizing women's lives?) And then there was a demonstration solely for Black Trans Lives that attracted 22,000 IIRC.

What irritates the F out of me, is that so many of the young women attending BLM demonstrations would call us bigots, when we are fighting to retain the rights of women all over the world of every ethnicity.
