It's not irrational and it's not paranoia. Trust your instincts on this. We know when someone seems 'unsafe', even if we can't put it into words. The very act of a man claiming to actually be a woman is a violation of boundaries. it's a biological, natural boundary, and if someone can't respect that... why should we believe he'll respect the word 'no'? The only "TIMs" I would feel safe around(as safe as I feel around any man I don't know) are those that know that they're men, and are fine with being called men.

Also-

a fucking rapist can get off on forcing women to call him a woman and allow him in their spaces, and being told nothing can be done because "he says he's a woman, so therefore it's true and obviously means his rapist and violent thinking goes away."

This has actually happened already. Not irrational at all. Trust yourself, we know how to keep ourselves safe. It takes brainwashing to ignore the fear instinct.
