Ironically, Jesse Singal's article about detransitioners in the Atlantic was a big part of my peak trans journey. I know they caught a lot of shit for it, and it seems The Atlantic has been self-flagellating on the altar of transactivism ever since.

The Atlantic's self-flagellation for causing offense to trans activists began much earlier than that. The magazine got a huge amount of flak from TRAs for running Amy Bloom's way too-revealing article on AGP cross-dressers in 2002, so much so that the magazine removed it from its own website and has gone to great lengths to scrub it from the web entirely.
