What really annoys me is how exactly these people always argue that they're only so distressed because their gender identity isn't respected and how trans people only feel so horrible because no one accepts their being trans-identified when all of the statistics I've seen so far point in the opposite direction, namely that they are severely mentally ill to begin with which is likely the reason for their gender confusion and issues.

they are severely mentally ill to begin

For sure they are, but like you've all said, they will claim it's because of discrimination. Somehow their mental illness will end if MINE begins by deluding myself that men are women, etc.

Since the centuries of "witch" persecution, I honestly don't think any other insanity has been so wholly embraced by society's "leaders" and laws. There's still debate over ergot poisoning being largely behind the physical behavior tied to the "witch" insanity in Europe (in addition to a misogynistic clergy and men wanting the land that older widows had inherited), but I do wonder if some of the poisons in our food these days could be fuelling the GenderInsanity ?

There are these conspiracy theories about how BPA which has estrogen-like/feminising effects might be a reason for the increase of the trans insanity but if anything this would only explain TiMs, not TiFs.

I feel like it's more of a bad mix of porn, too much internet, women being harassed and treated as inferior etc. and especially these things mixed with mental illness.

But also there's been a tremendous amount of money poured into pushing transgenderism. Think of all the TV and movie shows, as well as other media, pushing the transgender activist agenda.

We know now that there are very rich people with both a personal and financial interest in transgender/gender ideology being normalized (I call them Trans, Inc) they are buying politicians, media, chairs in academia, etc.

I think the Dr. Lisa Littman study out of Brown University (and other studies) also argue that it's gay, autistic, ADHD or troubled kids who transition, so in your order not vice versa the way trans activists argue.

My impression from stories of detransitioners is that BPD often plays a role as well due to a general unstable sense of identity. I think that one study on trans-identified people and personality disorders that was posted here some time ago had a relatively high rate of BPD for TiFs at least if I remember correctly.

It would make sense to me, given what I see of them online, that TiFs have a higher rate of BPD and TiMs a higher rate of NPD, but I don't recall seeing an actual study of the former.
