I don't know much about IMDB. I know they have user lists, but they also have editor lists, like the official ones where they tell you what's coming up on Netflix. I'm guessing it was probably some search algorithm that brought up the TERF one, since you had been searching for the word previously.

I wasn't searching IMDB for "TERF" or any word: I was only looking for information on a person who ended up being on the "Beware the Terf" list.

The Beware the Terf list came up on the side of my screen on its own, taking up about a 1/4 of the screen so it was very prominent. I'm thinking that IMDB software must have deliberately linked the Beware the Terf list because I had searched for someone who was on it.

But why that list and not another one, like "People who love to flyfish"? I think that searching for someone who some random IMDB poster put on a TERF list brings up that list is creepy, gender ideology propaganda in some way supported by IMDB.

Gotcha. Yeah, if you search for a person, it will show you what lists those people have been added to.

As I said, I don't know much about the site. I don't doubt if you wrote them about something they'd be pro-gender, but I truly doubt anything nefarious was orchestrated by the site in regards to this particular list.

It would be the alogorithyms (sp?) right? But my point is that rather than showing another list that would be connected to the person I searched for, like that the person is on a list such as "These Famous People Are Knitters" the Beware of TERFs list came up.

Given all the other corporate endorsements of gender ideology and also that it's an entertainment industry-related publication, I would not be surprised if IMDB deliberately linked that list. I think I might complain. If nothing else, TERF is a slur.
