I think a feminist magazine is a great idea! Totally old school ;) You could start with 'neutral' topics like abortion, religious oppression, womens history, women's spirituality, political underrespresentation etc, and then gradually slide in some terf ideas. You could distribute it anonymously. Print it at home and leave copies in the women's bathrooms ;)

You can speak up for yourself. I know it's hard and scary. The worst you will probably get is a finger waggling. But it's very safe to simply play dumb and say "I don't understand?"

For example "I don't understand? I though sex and gender were different, but now they're saying if someone has a female gender that means they have a female sex? What am I missing?"

And "But if "woman" means "everyone who identifies as a woman", then what's the new name for the half of the population which still isn't studied in medical trials, historically was denied the right to vote because of their sex, and has their reproductive rights controlled by law in many countries? It can't be "cis women" because trans men, non-binary female adults, gender fluid females, agender females etc are included. No, it can't be "females" because that included dogs and flowers. What's the name for the group of people who had to go undercover to get an education because of their sex? Did they stop mattering? They're half the population and the half that gives birth to everyone else."

And "I thought SEXual attraction was about sex? Sex and gender are different things, aren't they? It's not called "GENDERual attraction". How could you even be attracted to a gender identity? How can you be sexually attracted to something you can't see or notice until someone else tells you?"

Phrase them as innocent "Sorry I don't understand??" questions and you will convert people. Just keep saying "I want to be inclusive, but i just don't understand. I'm sure you're right, it just doesn't make sense to me."

Then come back here (or to Ovarit) and we'll help you out on any curly ones they throw at you ;)

Every time a woman speaks up for herself, she gives other women permission to speak too. You are likely not the only one thinking this. Always speak up, even if you have to whisper.

This is genius! I don't know why but with all the reading I do around gender it's hard to not want to outright expose their messed up logic. I never thought about feigning ignorance. Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I'll be taking your advice and everyone else's in this thread and will try and take action. Hopefully I can find a group of like-minded women irl :)
