Yes. I call politicians far and wide, and often have long conversations with staffers.

What you can say is that as a human rights activists you fear that California is setting a precedent that will destroy women's human rights globally.

And you'd be right...

And I mentioned that this lack of consideration for incarcerated women's health and safety caused doubt whether California would be safe and welcoming place for (natal) women to visit or live. Edit: (I'm not a California resident.)

Fantastic! Thank you so much for taking action! Put the California state legislature on notice that women across the country and across the world, of all political stripes, are watching them.

PLEASE, ladies, no matter where you're from or what your political beliefs are outside of this issue, PLEASE KEEP CONTACTING POLITICIANS. Every woman's future is at stake.

The trans lobby has no hesitation astro turfing politicians' offices, so let's do some astro TERFing ourselves!
