Writing that it is a letter aimed at banning transgender athletes from competing in sports is obfuscating the issue. The issue is men are attempting to compete in women's sports and men should not, for any reason, not even it they sincerely believe they actually are women, not even if they'll kill themselves if they don't get their way, be allowed to participate in women's sports. Men who do are cheats and nothing more.

I think it's good to point this out every time the myth comes up, even if it's not fully on topic. It's important for people to know that this is a myth.

True, perhaps I'm oversimplifying. Should clarify that people who make suicide threats unless their demands are met never follow through.

Some people who threaten suicide are only using it to get their own way, but definitely true that some people who threaten it also act on it. What we need to tell friends/family/acquaintances is to not accept personal responsibility either way. It is not our job to keep someone else from killing themselves. If they threaten suicide, call a hotline, call an ambulance to have them hospitalized, call someone else qualified to handle it. It's fucked up to try and make someone else feel guilty for your suicidal thoughts, and the first clear sign that you need to distance from that relationship.

Such confusing and terrible language. I thought maybe they were talking about transmen at first as they are really "transgender female". Why is the media lying and saying male athletes are not just women but female? This is just pushing for legalized cheating. Most people are not even going to watch if women's sports turn into some failed male athletes dominating it. Let them compete against other males. Everything does not exist to validate them.

"Transgender female" is a LIE. They are referring to MEN.
