General Question. How many laws have passed in favor of identity over biology?

I never said that I was voting for Trump. I have spent a lot of time around politics and pretty much hate both parties, but the GOP wins for being complete slimeballs who are rapidly making the US into a banana republic.

However, the GOP is standing up for women, if only for political expediency, because this gender bullshit has no fans outside of the Hyper-Woke, and students, who don't vote much anyway.

As I did say in a reply to someone else, women in each country have their own distinct struggles. Here in the US, we have a huge problem with rape and sexual assault. Our Center for Disease Control (the CDC) stated in a 2014 study that almost 20% of American women have been raped and almost 44% have been sexually assaulted.

We have 800,000 plus registered sex offenders, 98+% of which are men, and that's the tip of the iceberg because sex crimes are rarely successfully prosecuted.

It is almost 100% guaranteed that predators will take advantage of the Equality Act, and similar state and local legislation that allow men to self-identify as women, to access spaces where women are naked or otherwise vulnerable. It's already happened multiple times.

And beyond that, transgenders are not all saints. A prominent transgender advocacy group, the National Center for Transgender Equality, released a 2015 study of 28,000 US transgender "women" that found that 89% had intact male genitalia, and 63% - close to 2/3rds - are attracted to women.

A paper in the journal PRISON HEALTH (June 2018) stated that US transgender "women" have a 19-65% lifetime incarceration rate, whereas the rate for the US general population is 3% and women way less than 1%.

So beyond the creepy predators that the Equality Act and other legislation will allow into women's spaces, the majority of transgender "women" are heterosexual males with intact genitalia, and a huge portion of them have done, or will do, prison time.

I volunteered with women who have been raped and sexually assaulted. I will do my utmost to make sure that not one more woman has to suffer that. But again, I have no plans to vote for Trump. I'm not voting for the Democrats either. Sorry, I won't for vote for a party that treats women with such utter contempt that they think we are just a feeling in men's heads/ human shields - at tremendous risk to ourselves- for men who want to wear dresses.

USA reminds me China so much. Just instead of one party having complete monopoly on power with same politicians there being since forewer, there two parties having complete monopoly on power with same politicians there being since forever.

IMO - and I would like to hear from other "Olds" - this is the worse it's ever been.

Even during Watergate, the GOP could admit that Nixon had done wrong. Now politics are so tribal, even among voters.

For instance, until I disabuse them about trans demands, most of my Progressive friends were on board with trans demands. Why? Because it's on the Progressive platform and, since they don't have time to examine every issue, they just mouth what the Democratic platform says, assuming that the Democrats are on the "right" side. My friends do that with every issue, and these are smart people, but they are just not bothering to think.

Trans demands don't stand up to scrutiny and they know this, which is why they Trojan Horsed the LGB, getting to Progressive politicians under the guise of LGB inclusion. In the meantime, most of the Democratic politicians young staff were indoctrinated in Gender Studies at university, so were already on the any criticism of trans demands is a crime akin to racism.

Many of us older feminists were asleep, while the trans lobby completely took over control of the narrative. The trans lobby was counting on that, and one of the reasons for "Karen" and "TERF bangs" is because they are terrified of older feminists waking up.

Well, I am not from the USA, it is just looks like that to me from the outsider perspective (after USSR dissapeared, as in USSR we almost had no info about USA or China at all).

At first I wanted to resent - how is that possible in developed country to study so frank lies in universities, but then I recalled that for few years now in our country libfems and right-wings are united to put "Classic Church Family Values" subject to study in 10-11th grades of school (and that subject is very homophobic as well, promoting "classic family" where woman is not even having a job, just housewife). Many mothers revoletd and subject was halted temporary (but not everywhere) until checked by goverment. And because of those people (and one other libfem in goverment, who want to change whole language to make all words be female gendered) in eyes of most people here, feminism is seen as something hateful or stupid.
