This is a liberal admission, but not a radical one. He makes all his points in the foreground, where he assumes the reader resides. I think what he’s doing is admitting all he can in order to hang on to what’s really essential to him--something he wants no one to question or take from him. But this idea that he can remove himself from the real world and be a woman only for himself is shortsighted. He may be viewed as a dissenter within trans, but within the scope of sexual politics, he is no dissenter, but a rather a proponent of gender. He doesn’t even begin to question gender itself, dysphoria, or his identity presumption, which may not be “I am a woman” but is “I pass as a woman because I feel like one,” any different in the final analysis? Once again the “not all trans men are...”

That is a very accurate analysis. I wish it was upvoted more. I have been continously going back to read it for several months due to its accuracy.
