I would really like a radical feminist sub that wasn't all about the trans issues. Perhaps where talking about trans people was even banned! I suppose that wouldn't really be fun though...

I did enjoy good news for women. I'd like a place where we could share the achievements of incredible women.

After Brexit made the reddit UK sub full of politics they opened up a casualUK sub where politics is banned. We could do something similar. Feminists not talking about feminism, religion or politics.

They did have a comedy Irish freemasons group called the Holy Order of the Lemon which admitted women. Maybe we should call it that.

I love this idea! Except for completely banning talking about feminism, because I just cant stop viewing media from a feminist lens now.. not in a militant everything is problematic kind of way, but just including it in the discussion. For example how female centric shows changed over time, or making memes that joke about people acting like some new movie is the first ever to discover the female protagonist. I would love to be part of the Holy Order of the Lemon.

Sounds great.
I second NOT excluding radfem perspective. There were tremendous women in media to be remembered and emulated. Kathleen Hite (born 1917): the first female staff writer at CBS network. She is credited with writing 42 episodes of Gunsmoke, from 1955-1965 - the tight storied black and white episodes. As a teaser....

TwoX or simply "Women" such as https://www.reddit.com/r/women (without the "Ask" prefix such as AskWomen). Anything related to women and our everyday lives, not political by default but more personal.

I quit Reddit's AskWomen after the purge. There were people I liked there, but I just couldn't excuse the atmosphere anymore.

I'd like to see something like that on Saidit, although I fear it would be taken over by unsavory types.

We have to stop hiding because of the unsavory types. It's either make our own way wading through those types of people or go back to censorship and being afraid to hurt people's feelings. There sadly is not an inbetween on the internet anymore... This site has far too much antisemitism, and as a jewish person that's pretty tough to read when other sites have been wiped clean of that nonsense for a long time. But i just roll my eyes and move on to upvote the better comments. I think more positive content being posted on saidit, will eventually drown out a lot of the trash. Hopefully...

Not explicitly for women only but in my experience Animal Crossing communities tend to be dominated by women and it's the definition of light hearted fun

I made a knitting sub, but made it so that it doesn't show up in s/all. People who search for it, should find it though.

s/knitting

Crochet exists, too:

s/Crochet

GC_handmaidstale still exists on reddit, btw.
