The basic trouble women have on the left is that once you remove all those evil power structures which decide who has authority then what remains is the physical power men have over women. I mean last year a Labour candidate in the UK was literally picked up off her platform by a man and moved off it. And you know all those physical differences you learnt when arguing about TiMs in women's sports like greater lung capacity. That means men are simply louder than women. The majority of men can shout the majority of women down or talk over them without any effort.

Women need some sort of hierarchy and power structure in the political system just to be heard, just to get basic respect. This means feminists need to tend towards the centre left no matter how seductive those naive utopian ideals of the far left are. I mean the idea of society being remade for the better after the revolution comes straight out of end times christianity, you don't get much more patriarchal. I bet you when most scraggly far left men imagine what the perfect society after capitalism will look like they are imagining free love and an endless supply of young people to have sex with them, no different to the Islamic terrorist idea of paradise. Some have hinted as much to me.

I can agree that structure is good, but hierarchy, in the present form, is designed to oppress women.
