"It is important to emphasize that the narratives that mentioned wanting to be with other women in a gym or locker room never carried overtly voyeuristic overtones. What was arousing to the informants was being accepted as a woman by other women, not the opportunity to view nude or scantily clothed female bodies. In fact, one informant explained that experiencing the absence of male-typical feelings was what made the locker room scenario arousing"

Forcing women to be fetish material for autogynephilic fantasies is very rape-y. I'm well aware the threat of being physically raped in a toilet or locker room by someone trans is low, but that's frankly not what's concerning about so-called bathroom legislation; it's just plain disrespectful to women to tell them that an autogynephile has the right to force women to provide him with "validation" by using their presence to fulfill his sexual fantasies.

Right? I remember reading some sissy's blog way back in the early days of the internet and being utterly astounded that people like this existed. He had a photo of himself at the grocery store, dressed up like a little miss muffet, and then wrote about how he pretty much just went shopping like a normal person, but peed in his diaper. When he got back to the car his "mommy" chastised him and then when they got home some sex things happened. I remember feeling really grossed out for the other shoppers and the clerk. Sure, they weren't physically assaulted nor were they exposed to his genitals, but they were a part of his sexual activity that day, without their consent. It's flat out wrong.

They're a very real element in exhibitionism of using members of the public to fuel your fetish. It's one thing perhaps if your weird kink is limited to a fetish-specific private club/event/group, but going out in public all-ages spaces for the overt purpose of using other people for your fetish is wildly inappropriate to me. It's not a matter of being anti or pro sex or being a prude; it's just plain disrespectful to use complete strangers as unwitting tools for your sexual pleasures. Find another damn way to get your rocks off.
