Kind of pissed off about this. I'm still not going back to Reddit. Returning to them is like returning to a domestic abuser. It'd disappointing to see so many women be easily breadcrumbed back to a platform where it's plain as day women aren't safe. Why keep a subreddit up on there if you know the trans and misogynistic reddit users will only keep reporting and reporting your content over and over again in successful attempts to shut you down? I don't see the point. The larger news media doesn't care, and considers our views to be "hate speech". In reality, they see us as a threat because we dare to question the profit they make off violent pornography (I'm convinced THIS is a huge motivation behind pushing the trans agenda-- it removes barriers for media companies to disseminate graphic internet porn). Porn = profit for these companies-- money in the BILLIONS. We are products for them to sell. Sorry this is rambly, but I'm so pissed women fall for this "Oh, reddit's doing THIS nice little thing for us!" Screw reddit.

In my opinion it's less about liking reddit as a platform but rather the issue with reddit being a highly visited platform. More visits = more exposure to potential new GCs. The reason TRAs mass reported and got reddit into doing this is to minimize our influence (and attempt to dampen the movement's momentum). This is an effective strategy. Goes a bit like:

  1. Remove GC from one of the world's most visited social hubs and ensure all dissent is muffled.
  2. Use that social hub as a resource to promote and use propaganda now that actual challengers and sources of different information are removed.
  3. Rinse and repeat.

Right now they are also pushing for twitter, facebook and tumblr to do the same. They'd rather have us relegated to other websites where we can stay away from the people they wish to influence and ensure no one rocks the boat in mainstream spaces. They are putting a pillow on movements that have historically been known to refute or expose things TRAs put out.

What I'm saying is that it's less about liking reddit, and more about ensuring that does not happen.

And they're going to keep attacking us regardless. Posting on there is just giving them the revenue and clicks they want. It's telling them you approve of their terms of service, and that you want to give them more ad revenue.

They're also keeping track of who we are, at least those of us who can't circumvent their notice or their bans.

I don't know about everyone else here, but I'm not wealthy or tech-savvy enough to fight off potential doxxers and hackers. Reddit itself just resurrected an old account of mine that I myself deleted over two years ago. I contacted them for the second time, demanding they take my old deleted account down, knowing they won't reply.

They will keep attacking, personally if they feel they need to. If you can afford to sue Reddit if they try to allow their misogynistic base to hack you and target you, good for you. I certainly don't.

We can at least document this stuff and prove we're being targeted.

It's less about them attacking us or even reddit itself, it's about ensuring that we give them hell about it. Why should we be compliant and leave without challenge? They should actually see this action they've made as a huge inconvenience, leaving without much incident actually gives the bravery to other platforms to do the same.

I've used adblock from day one - which is a passive fight necessary for all these corporate platforms. Don't give them a penny.
