I know a woman who teaches high school biology and who constantly emphasizes (and exaggerates) her credentials. Yet, instead of being fact-based, she frequently makes nonsensical remarks about sex being a spectrum and pretends that those who would argue otherwise are ignorant and hateful. Perhaps she defines spectrum differently than I do, but I find it frustrating that she promotes herself as an authority on biological matters while making illogical and unsupported remarks about sex. I have a number of friends who have science degrees, up to and including doctoral degrees, and they universally claim that our current understanding of transgenderism is evidence-based and that anyone who demurs is irrational.

    The irony is painful.
