Thanks! There are sadly always people here who write snarky, close-minded responses when I try to respond in sincerity and authenticity, as if I don't have three advanced degrees and decades studying women and religion (no doubt I was readlng Daly before they were born). A lot of atheism is to me as fundamentalist and narrow as transgender ideology, minus the active attempts to drug, mutilate, and rape people, of course. But still, it's disappointing to see the smug nastiness masquerading as something progressive (sounds familiar, right?)

I can see connections with those traditions, and yes, transgender ideology feels like an addictive, empty religion, with no spiritual sustenance whatsoever. But we know people can participate in performative catechisms that have nothing to do with really being open to something new and radical. Not that I can see into their hearts, but I know from my own experience that I can get into a lot of propositionally structured certainty and be perfectly miserable and closed-minded, and it sure seems like that's where these folks are coming from.
