Reddit has been itching to get rid of GenderCritical for a loooong time. That need became more urgent in the wake of the sharp spike of attention and popularity the site was getting due to the JK Rowling situation. They were losing control of the narrative too much. So this is their attempt to ret-con reality and claim we were always an alt-right hate group. Realise that it was their fear that brought the ban hammer down. Once you know this, you realise how effective and powerful our arguments are. But, seriously, radical feminists have always been one of the most hated groups out there. The left have never been our friends, they were always mad about radical feminists being anti-porn and the like.

I liked a lot of the "right wing" subs too because it was the only place I didn't feel like I had to hate myself for my Whiteness. (As GC was the only place I felt was a safe space for me as a woman) I experienced far more vitriol for posting completely normal, healthy, positive things like "have children, whites! look after your people!" than I did for participating in GC.

While there is a large contingent of the "right-wing" that's just incels/rapists, there is also a large contingent that simply would like to exist and stand up for white people. Similar to GC's "TERF," "far right," "facsist," "nazi," etc, have been used to smear completely normal sentiments and positions. They're being gagged and silenced and smeared as "hateful" too.

I'm sorry, and I get the powerless, gross feeling you're talking about. Please try to remember that it's a small (employee wise) private company run by men who are interested in pandering in one narrow viewpoint. For example, Ellen Pao was just brought in as a shield to be flayed alive as far as I can tell. No one spoke up for her or her leadership. What a message that sent to thinking people. This isn't remotely about what's fair or free speech. You know all those people who brigaded us and reported us were uncomfortable because we reminded them that women are humans with stories and feelings and not just fuckholes. These are the guys who are throwing gold every time one of their own farts or coughs and who are clicking on reddit's ads. Not us. Reddit's model is pulling money out of those suckers and we make scrotes mad. Scrotes have bad feeling, get mad GRRR, back up the ticket queue, forget to click on camgirls GRRR. Men should demand more for themselves intellectually than sitting in their own stink, but here we are.
