Hi Houseplant! I read those comments and it didn’t appear to me they were directed at specific users. That’s sort of how we’ve approach misgendering too. It’s allowed with groups, but not with users. If I missed a specific instance where they called a user a bigot, please let me know.

Maybe I'm being slow, but what would an example of misgendering a group be?

Saying “all trans women are men” for instance would be fine.

Addition: Or like, “I’m tired of women harassing the gay men on r/AskGayBros”. You can make statements about groups, but if you can’t say “userx is a woman/man” or use pronouns they aren’t comfortable with if userx is trans. Gender neutral is always fine though or just avoid pronouns all together. The rules don’t force anyone to use preferred or anything like that.
