Well DUH! Everyone knows that males, no matter how much estrogen they take nor puberty blockers are stronger and faster than females. It's just common knowledge but men won't accept NO for an answer. My good friend and I made a joke that if we were to have a women only meeting we certainly couldn't advertise it as such as it would signal every man in a dress for 20 miles to come barging in.

Seriously. Or if you put up fliers the men in dresses would rip them down.

I'm glad the Guardian published this pretty much without spin. It's very clear: dudes remain dudes regardless of what they say. what they wish or what lib fems like to tell themselves.

The only way to have a meeting you can be certain will only be attended by women is to have a meeting for trans men and make it men-only.

But by definition, aren't all women who play rugby on the trans spectrum anyway? It's pretty GNC.

It's GNC but they're women. Being GNC doesn't put them on the trans spectrum. What is the trans spectrum?

It's the new name for being GNC

"World Rugby says it is committed to encourage transgender people to remain involved with rugby"

I think trans-men should sooner be allowed to participate in women's rugby than trans-women – that'd qualify as inclusive, right?

"a typical player with male characteristics tackles a typical player with female characteristics creates a minimum of 20% to 30% greater risk for those female players" vs. "the draft proposals may not get such a positive welcome from trans rights groups"

That's because trans rights groups don't give a flying f**k about 20-30% greater risk to women, if it means compromising trans-women's sense of validation. They are far more concerned with a scientist's use of the word 'male' in relation to trans-women. Even World Rugby is only "considering" banning trans-women based on this evidence.

“are stronger by 25%-50%, are 30% more powerful, 40% heavier, and about 15% faster than players who are assigned female at birth [...] Ciswomen players (who do not undergo androgenisation during development) who are participating with and against transwomen (who do undergo androgenisation during development”

Uh oh, they're really not going to like terms like "androgenisation". They'll likely focus more energy on trying to get that changed more than anything else.

US powerlifting came to similar conclusions to as World Rugby: https://www.usapowerlifting.com/transgender-participation-policy/

I'd really like a QT to come in here and explain what's wrong with these findings because I'm baffled how comments on trans Reddit or pink news are reducing the results to "Transphobia".

To my knowledge HRT does not alter lung capacity ie Vo2 Max, bone structure (no not bone density I'm talking about other stuff like growth plates), height etc.

TRA constantly like to use the strawmen about larger women despite completely ignoring that larger women still went through puberty...as...a...FEMALE.

Being tall or overweight doesn't suddenly make a woman suddenly have the puberty of a male!

Or the other strawman about how transwomen haven't dominated all sports officially so there's no advantage. Are all athletes that got done for PEDs world record breaking gold medalists?

I’m not QT, but I agree that sports should be sex segregated. I feel like sports at that level are just something that you give up when you transition. Hopefully this will be the conclusion in more areas because I worry about the future of women’s sports if it’s not.

Their findings make total sense, but I have a feeling the dude bros will help the transwomen get the right to take all the women's rugby spots in no time.

That's possible, but this is at least a bit of light in the darkness.
