The kid's dying anyway.

The government has allowed the doctors caring for Indi to sentence her to less pain. Her death is unavoidable.

And socks calls me the worst person on saidit? Fuck I can be glib about death, but it's usually about a piece of shit, like you.

You show your true anti-human proclivities once again, shlomo.

Could you do me a favor favour and make thine own life come to an end prematurely, fine chap?

You seem very upset about something. Is everything okay at home?

The headline claiming that the government is sentencing a baby to death is spun so far as to be wrong.

The doctors caring for Indi cannot save her life, and the treatment is causing her pain.

allows the prime minister to grant citizenship to foreigners if the 'interests of the state are concerned'.

How is it any business of Italy's when a Bri'ish baby dies?

Mitochondial disease, terminal illness. Apparently the child's health is so fragile that it was ruled too dangerous to attempt to make the transfer. The disease has already caused so much brain damage that the child is hooked up to life support. Not sure if this is because the lungs are too damaged to function or the brain is too damaged to tell the lungs to function, or both.

Articles aren't giving too many details, but it sounds like the parents are hoping that a miracle cure exists when there is none.

The child is dead, the only question is how long the parents rack up needless medical bills until some Italian or UK doctor calls an official time of death. These children used to be left out in the snow or thrown in a river, but now parents try to cope and pretend there is hope at an expense of millions of dollars for literally no benefit.

They should let the baby die already.

If this was a middle class American kid they would be dead already.

Why do you think you never hear of such cases in the USA? It's not because the same diseases don't crop up there. It's because they die quick otherwise they cost too much.
