Those reasons are just the lame excuses the ruling class uses to cover their levers of control and exploitation. Biden and Trump are NOT the best we have to offer but they were adequate puppet actors on the same team used to divide, manipulate, and distract us from their vulnerable rigged systems. American tribalism is minor by comparison to the global Machiavellian powers at work.

Machiavelli would not approve of the methods of the global powers that be. If they were that successful, we wouldn't be this pissed-off. Also Machiavelli was a republican and lily had no real malice toward populism (though I don't know that he supported it)
