Change of uniform. You're now border agents. Put that same energy you put into stealing out of people's suitcases into weeding out the very rare asylum seeker who meets that actual rules.

More specifically. How can we actually get the federal government to do this, for real? Not just as a fanciful notion, but actually persuade them to take this action, as you describe it. How can appropriate pressure be put on the feds to implement the necessary changes. I think that's what has everyone mystified. How exactly do you get the government to do the right thing for a change?

I wish I knew the answer. Seems like they abandoned logic and safety long ago. Even the fentanyl and terrorism boogeymen don't seem to be phasing them. My hope is that a) the Dems will be voted out and b) we'll take a page out of Sweden's book and attack the problem from an economic angle. Problem is, so many illegals get through, how do you even track them? The only thing I can think of is changing the laws regarding illegal entry. One of these days, some Hamas fucker is going to sneak across the border and do something to wake us up on border security. Make entering illegal a terrorist act and try them under those laws. Either that, or do what Trump did and put the onus on Mexico to stop them at their Southern border.
