It is the spam/bozo timer. It keeps spammers/bozos off Saidit.

It's not that bad. 2 minutes is way better than the 10 they have on reddit. I take the extra time to refine my comments.

Glad to know that as a lot of sites put new users under very heavy scrutiny in fact I firmly believe this is why forums died as when social media and shit phones took over forums become a 'country club' with elite members bullying new users and new users either were banned like me or left making the same circle of users shit post the same stupid stuff over and over.

Yeah it should only be there for new accounts, or accounts that haven't gotten any upvotes.

Other than that, it might appear sometimes if we're under attack, to slow down attackers
