That damn 1 min timer!!!!! Does anyone else have it and is it associated only with new accounts? If so how long is it active and does it mean I got auto modded sadly?

This is suppose to be an alternative to Reddit right? Well Reddit is full of odd rules and everything is stacked against new users so you cannot succeed unless your in on the know and know somebody whom knows somebody,etc to gain karma or otherwise good luck! So how come this site is a lite version? Did this site always have a timer?

It is the spam/bozo timer. It keeps spammers/bozos off Saidit.

It's not that bad. 2 minutes is way better than the 10 they have on reddit. I take the extra time to refine my comments.

The timer seems standard for everyone.

Glad to know that as a lot of sites put new users under very heavy scrutiny in fact I firmly believe this is why forums died as when social media and shit phones took over forums become a 'country club' with elite members bullying new users and new users either were banned like me or left making the same circle of users shit post the same stupid stuff over and over.

Yeah it should only be there for new accounts, or accounts that haven't gotten any upvotes.

Other than that, it might appear sometimes if we're under attack, to slow down attackers
