both twitter and tesla are ponzi schemes.
ponzi schemes are usually some type of scam where investors invest and there is no way for the investor to ever be repaid.
outstanding stock in twitter is approximately $40 billion, and tesla has approximately $650 billion of outstanding stock.
there is no way that these amounts can ever be repaid, meaning that the investors will eventually lose. in the meantime, investors are free to trade those shares with others, but in the end the result will be a catastrophic loss.
these are not exactly textbook examples of ponzi schemes, but the end result is that the investors will lose.
if you want to crawl up elon's ass, accuse him of operating a ponzi scheme.. he will be left speechless when you ask him how he can ever take these companies private. of course, if you were to do this it would create a massive stock market crash..

The stock compensation scheme for Tesla for Musk was insane. Nobody in private equity would agree to such terms, but Musk had fanboys (or presumably some government backing). Musk does not deserve wealth at all, considering he has never done anything useful and is a grifter.

That was my point, but I can see how it could come across differently.

What do you mean. They went into Afghanistan to get the opium flowing again. It wasn't to long ago. I doubt they've pulled out completely.

Ah the whole " we have your nation surrounded by our military bases because our country is in bed with the other group of desert trash" isn't a good reason to fight...
