In terms of obtaining children - he certainly took a few, sufficient for a war crimes charge by the ICC.
But of course kyiv would never have been nuked. For many reasons.
Putin is absolutely powerless, weak, lashing out against the peaceful separatists of Bilhorod and Bryans'k and Ingushetia and everywhere else.
He said Ukraine is a fake country inhabited by mistaken ruzzians. So, Kyiv is a Rus city and his three day mission was about reestablishing Z domain - not creating a nuclear wasteland. They were arguing over who gets which apartment or dacha. Kyiv was to be liberated and denazified: that's literally the mission.
Nuking Kyiv would also poison their Belaruz-ruz-Ukraine union state. It would poison the Dneipr river. It would poison the canals and soil of their novorossiya and Krim.
During the war, last May, the CIA chief met his ruzzian counterpart in Ankara for an important meeting with one topic on the agenda: America provided a detailed list of steps it would take if Putin used nukes in Ukraine. It was a three day operation ending in the demilitarisation and denazification of ruzzia. So Putin cannot pick this course.
During this year 2023 Putin was summoned to kowtow and was forced to recite this statement alongside the Emperor, recounting his actions and stridently self-criticising in the appropriate struggle-session manner. To those with the eyes to see, this is an extremely strong warning given by Xi, that Putin must not use nukes.
All nuclear-weapon states should refrain from deploying nuclear weapons abroad and withdraw nuclear weapons deployed abroad," Putin and Xi agreed. "The two sides reaffirmed that the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons is the cornerstone of the international nuclear disarmament and nuclear nonproliferation system," they said. "The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to the treaty and will continue to work together to maintain and strengthen the treaty and maintain world peace and security."

Is there any point you disagree with? I don't think there is, but it's worth me checking

Not AI. Here's the retard's tldr for you
He wants to own Ukraine not a wasteland
The fallout will poison his retirement chateau on black sea
America will whup him good and Boris Johnson will take victorious selfies in red square
China's final warning.
Actually the "no other alternative" is to return his army home and pay reparations. It just gets more expensive for him each additional day that passes without withdrawal

You mean… like western wars in Afghanistan?

As the famous muscovïan said, "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way"
Likewise every failed invasion is alike, and successes are successful in their own ways.
Ottomans' invasion of the caucuses, or the Kaiser's invasion of Belgium, or yes, as you say, the East India Company's invasion of Afghanistan in 1838 - failed invasions are quite alike.
I can see you tried to distract and whatabout, but really you just gave a nice reminder to relisten to some Dan Carlin

Nope, no distractions. Just drawing parallels that you have expanded on, these blunders need to be sorted out in better ways with all sides attempting at compromise in order to avert disaster.

No, it's not true that the scenario calls for Ukraine to compromise.
The scenario calls for ruzzia to immediately leave Ukraine and the separatist republics of Bilhorod, Ingushetia etc.
There can be no peace if Ukraine compromises and rewards Putin with land. That's a pro-war notion and you're in the wrong sub.
