A group of UK school teachers discuss the 'Super Straight' movement (in which people say they're only attracted to members of the opposite sex) and conclude that if a child says this, he or she needs to be reported as it's a sign of far right radicalisation by BEB in GenderCritical

Saw a similar conversation on Twitter between a couple of Dutch women. It went like this:
User 1 saying that superstraight is privileged young white men making transphobic jokes that are not innocent in nature, likening it to "I only like white people".
Quoted by user 2, who talked a 14 year old boy at her community center out of a superstraight TikTok bubble, told him it was hurtful to people. She thinks it's scary how 'our children' are exposed to hate.
Reply by user 3, says that it is not just a description for cis/het people (as an acquaintance told her) - it has been hijacked by alt right, terfs, transphobes and people with nazi ideals, so it's not ok!

I tried to see if any of your account info was saved by google cache and I found a twitter thread from last May by some TRAs targeting you and other GR users guilty of giving too many low ratings to LGBT books (even some accounts set to private). They noticed your shelves as well. Google goodreads applecat and it should appear on the first page.

[edit] It seems like that person posting usernames is a female, identity-obsessed, agender asexual librarian, who is probably angry about low ratings because she herself wrote a crappy sounding LGBT fantasy novel about an 'aro-ace' prince and his dragon fighting marriage traditions. lol

I don't really know anything about TUA myself, but it might be worth noting that it's based on a comic by Gerard Way (of My Chemical Romance), who is somewhat of a darling of the trans community for sharing his own history of gender struggles.

In the r/movies discussion on Page there was a heavily upvoted post where someone tried to explain what feeling non-binary is by comparing it to liking Star Wars: some people hate Star Wars, some people love it and in the middle you've got people who sort of like it or have never seen it - and those are non-binary. Lots of comments on how helpful that post was, lol.

Ian Dunt, who also appears in the game, on twitter:

As one of the other voices in the game, let me go on record to say that I'm incensed by this. Whether you agree with Helen's views on trans issues or not, they are legitimate debate and she is entitled to hold and express them.

She wasn't even discussing any of those issues here. A little Twitter mob got excited and now she is simply cancelled.

What utter cowardice. The silencing of someone on all issues, even analysis of a fictional political universe, because people disagreed with what they said on another issue.

Just absolutely abysmal. And worst of all, in an anti-fascist game. Wiping away someone's voice in a software update: the digital equivalent of burning books.

I don't think it's likely that they'll take action. A couple of months ago someone made a similar tweet about wanting to kill 'me' after I caused his friend's account to be suspended. Reported it several times, but it's still up. And they don't usually remove random pics of weapons either, even if it's something like "when I see a TERF..." [pointed gun pic].

The people from that one sub about reporting 'hate subs' are actively looking for subs that they can report for 'ban evasion', so if anyone was thinking of creating a new topical sub on reddit: be careful.
