Ha! I knew this was Posie as soon as I saw it. I loved the interview with her on adland. Well done!

I can see this public display of love and admiration triggering many a trans person and their allies to respond with the kind of hatred usually reserved for school shooters. I ❤️ JK Rowling & Posie too!

The poster will be immediately defaced but hopefully this will produce public discussion in not just Edinburgh, but the whole of the UK. Anyone who opposes this poster being displayed should explain to the general public why they find it offensive. How many other images that state similar sentiments (I love Scotland merchandise is very popular in the tourist shops on the Royal Mile) are considered inoffensive and are never defaced or vandlised?

I hope Posie's hubby isn't jealous.

What're the odds that this is taken down by the billboard company (or whomever) after 'public backlash'?

Called it.

I liked the HP books, thought they were really good, I own them. Owned some some random HP merchandise too. But I never really cared too much about it either way about it or JKR. Now though. Yes, I love her too. Haha. <3

People can say, she's rich so it doesn't matter. But she has faced so much backlash that it has to take some sort of toll. Besides the feeling that she could be betraying people who love her work. Doesn't matter how rich she is, what she is doing is not easy. If it was, why aren't all the other rich and famous people who think the same as she does, doing the same? :P

It went according to Posie's plans, of course. This is a great strategy because when the poster was taken down it became news worth reporting and more people learned about the underlying reasons. The Streisand effect.

Oh FFS... Network Rail Scotland on twitter: "This advert is no longer displayed at Edinburgh Waverley. The poster in question is against our code of acceptance for advertising in our stations owing to its political nature. We do not allow advertising that is likely to support or promote one viewpoint over another."
