This is not a decision we made lightly. This is only the second time we've changed the rules in the 15 months saidit has existed. In the end, it's the only course of action that really makes sense if we want a saidit with a front page that truly represents the users.

reddit: because it got taken over by corporations and shills, and the mods and admins basically promoted it

voat: because their answer to everything is "jews did it" or "blacks did it". It's always about race with them, despite ideologies being the primary driver of action, not race.

twitter: because browsing it is a disjointed cluttered mess, and you don't get much about of the tiny character limit

That said, I still go to reddit and voat occasionally. But I can only take so much of each

As saidit admin I just want to say that I agree with you here. But what do you think the reaction should be?

I, as an admin, can delete it. But a key part of saidit that's different from reddit is that we don't have admins and mods going around deleting things arbitrarily. I could make an argument about deleting it due to the low quality of the information, but I've never deleted anything for that reason before nor do I really want to start. Then I have to make decisions myself constantly about what is "good information" and what is "low quality".

The main solution is for other people to post and upvote better quality information. The fact it only got 2 insightful votes is a good thing, it was basically ignored.
