Sad that in today's society any accusation that the media decides to focus on and cram down everyone's throats has nearly the same effect as being guilty.
Sure, they aren't in jail yet but they might as well be, everyone just automatically thinks they're guilty and it's even a risk to bring any of it up, the whole hypocrisy of innocent until proven guilty.

The whole way we do life and everything seems really screwed up to me.

There must be a trillion different ways they could calculate a fantasy bullshit metric like this.

It's pure garbage. Doesn't mean a damn thing. Even if their data sources could be trusted, the whole thing's incredibly flawed and prone to bias.

Ridiculous to think you could sift through all the propaganda and fake statistics everyone's pushing out and come to any sort of sane conclusion. It's preposterous.

I'm sure they could make the ranking reflect any sort of reality they'd like to project with some careful selection of methods and data sources and any number of other theories or modifications.

Everyone's delusional and those waging war are fanatically so. And for what? It's nothing altruistic, it's just because they can make so much more damn profit.

Look at the war profiteers, that's where the real answers and action for change has always been.

The poor are being provoked to fight in the next American Civil War. The rich and powerful love war. They send you and your children into battle, but they do not put themselves at risk. Instead, while others are being injured and killed, they seek a life of luxury. by In-the-clouds in Antiwar

Except that they will be the ones selling weapons, and rebuilding everything after, like Blackrock is setting up in Ukraine at this very moment.

Can't deny anyone a life of luxury by continuing to pay them billions and trillions of dollars for their shiny products and services. I see no end to it. Blackrock is the unofficial fourth arm of government.

It's an upside down and backwards world we live in now. Where Microsoft owns Linux and does nothing but vax passports and censorship and propaganda.

Burn Big Tech and everything as far as i'm concerned, the world is ending.

Capitalism has killed society.

We all worship money and create increasingly stupid silly crappy things in the name of chasing moar profitsss.

Passion for creating something good and worthwhile that lasts? Irrelevant. Do the easy thing to scam and cheat people out of their wealth instead.

I don't want to be on this ride anymore. It was never fun to begin with but now it's becoming unbearable.

Organized religion, at least how most organizations work seems to be for profit. So that can't be right and anything from them is suspect.

I got no problem with religion or people practicing it, it can be good... if done right. I'm just not seeing it, except in the few friends I got that hold their own private meetings and research and discuss for themselves. Like with many things today, the theory and original sources may be sound, but the current implementation, direction and leaders seem to have been corrupted. There's a big reason why i'm super skeptical of anything "new".

Yeah, if you say so. Doubt you'll change their course. They knew it was a grift right from the start.

Sounds likely. I'm sure a few select organizations/players are working on that sort of thing like mad, and like you said for decades. That is the sort of thing they wouldn't want to get out. If there's some tech that i'd want to keep secret, AI would be one at the top of my list.

I figure Google's got something. I was figuring back in 2005ish that they'd be able to do like in Asimov's Foundation, where they could examine enough data and be able to see patterns, connections and put it together to form a rudimentary idea of how large groups of people would act or react given certain events and and as such be able to predict future outcomes, and like with everything it would get refined over time and you could almost, but not quite the same thing... predict the future.

I think that's kinda what you're talking about and I worry that it is here and being used very effectively against us. Not to predict the future but to form it.

Yup. Though I don't think we have any real AI yet, nor anything close to it, from what i've seen revealed to the general public.

Stuff like ChatGPT and everything else I think are only 'Machine Learning'.

Like most technologies, you can create clean power or destroy the world. It's all in the way you use it.

True AI: with sentience isn't inherently dangerous, not by itself. But it IS unpredictable and the implications are super duper scary. What may come next. The Singularity. I already feel things accelerating beyond our ability to adapt. Not sure we've got the wisdom to be messing around with some things.

I just hope our inevitable robot overlords are kind and recognize that people aren't the problem, it's just the greedy leaders.

They may be a long con. Time will tell. I also don't trust ex-media, ex-intelligence, ex-military, ex-cops, etc.

Yep. Always in the back of my mind, even when getting good information that I might not be able to find easily anywhere else... I always wonder... or worried rather that the 'Alternative' media I watch might be the controlled counterbalance to the existing narratives. Like if the same source REALLY wanted to control a specific topic of conversation in the public space, they would control both sides. The mainstream one and the "opposing" arguments, all the while inserting or ignoring certain important details, or misdirect or whatever other advanced propaganda techniques that exist today.

So I worry when things like.... say... Breaking Points appear out of nowhere and onto my radar and seem to be very very popular and they say all the kinda things that I like to hear... But clearly they're both entrenched in the same kind of circles as the mainstream and political sphere and had been for a while I imagine. I'm not saying they're CIA plants, but I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Why is it so darn difficult to find truth? ;/ I hate it.

I like their content too. Though now i'm way more wary, and making sure I keep my skeptical hat on in case I notice anything 'off' or misleading or whatever.

Just because it's common doesn't mean it's a good excuse not to go through due diligence when selecting what you slap your name on.

I realize they need to get paid, and that's fine. It was just pretty gross the way he was going on about it too. Like "oh let's all buy some and we'll all take a trip and go visit scotland and all of us can sit on our little patch of land and combine them and have a big BBQ party." paraphrased of course, but that was the gist of one of his snake oil sales tactics I caught a while back.

There's only a few voices out there that i've noticed who are careful enough with this sort of thing. Maybe i'm pickier than most. It's just real sad to realize that the entire world has basically sold out and go along with all this nonsense and i'm really sick of it, but oh well, that's the new normal, I guess.

Russel Brand was also one who disappointed me recently. I like a lot of his message, and he's doing some good work, but he's advertising to buy physical gold from some company now.... annd.... yeaaaah...... ;/ I don't agree with that either.

I could make a lot of money if only I didn't have to worry about these crazy morals and ethics as much as I do.

Did she just say that simply saying "AI is too dangerous" will be soon considered illegal hate speech?

Yup, that doesn't sound ominous and shady AT ALL.

Censorship and Propaganda are tools of criminal psychopathic dictators and fascists. These people shouldn't be in charge of anything or anyone -- ever.

I'm not sure if I trust Redacted. They were peddling the OBVIOUS scam that is "Established Titles" only a few months ago. You know the one, become a lord, own land in Scotland, etc.

They were using them as an advertiser. Straight outta their mouths promoting it on their livestreams. Anyone who can sell their souls so easily are not trustworthy.

Of course I trust WEF even less, but that's besides the point.
