These things always backfire because they are either 1) performative box checking or 2) bad actors in positions of power within these companies who are more interested in jabbing their fingers in the eyes of people they don’t like. The problem is, those people are their paying customers.

Sure, people are afraid to openly speak their minds out of fear of being accused of one of the various “isms” and “phobias”….but you know what doesn’t get these people cancelled? Simply taking their business and their money elsewhere.

Once you take your customers for granted, they won’t be customers for much longer.
