Wokeness is... Marxist propaganda

It isn't. "Wokeness" really has nothing to do with Karl Marx.

It's a word with a weird, twisting history. It started off exclusively meaning "aware the the police mean you harm if you're black." Then it spent like a year or two in 2014-2015 meaning "fanatically committed to all aspects of social justice," and then by the time Trump was in office it was used exclusively by the Right to insult the Left.

And it was such a Millennial word that, yeah, Zoomers are often like "What does that word even mean, it's just this weird random insult that crazy people keep hurling at me because I don't hate gay people."

Unfortunately it's you who have no idea what you're talking about. The Left tends to believe that historically marginalized groups should be elevated because that's what's just. That's pretty much it. The idea that it all goes back to some conspiracy rooted in some centuries-dead philosopher's ideas is just right-wing batfuckery.

But here's the thing: 99% of people who support BLM have no idea who the founder is, or even that there is a founder.

They aren't secretly trying to seize the means of production and collectivize the factories. They just want black people to stop getting shot by police at higher rates.

Yeah, I'm aware that records aren't kept vigorously enough to prove it one way or the other. I'm just telling you what the Left actually believes. It's that black people are killed at higher rates than white people. It is not that we should form a dictatorship of the proletariat.
