    Besides, there are so many communists who haven't been de-platformed, often while plainly advocating violence, and are instead straight-up praised by the mainstream media, that I find myself having a hard time caring.

    I've never seen that symbol in a profile. Perhaps he meant that there isn't a government that shares a decent percentage of the GDP with the public, though Big Corp gets bailouts and tax cuts.
