You make good points.
AFAIC, where there's a will, there's a way.
Breakfast is usually old fashioned oats with raisins, cinnamon, blueberries. and local honey... and two large cups of black coffee. The coffee is a must. It enables me to impersonate a civilized human being for extended periods of time.
Work commands most of my waking hours during the week but I prepare a fair quantity (usually rice) over the weekend then mix with frozen vegetables and some butter and rewarm after work during the week. I usually accompany that with a couple eggs over easy or some chicken cooked up ahead of time.
I will heat a can of soup once in a while- chicken noodle- and loaded with salt and preservatives so if I'm in a jam and need something quick with minimal clean up.
