There are scant few details in that article about what the government plans to do about loneliness.

Where I live, we had an awesome, thriving music scene. Then the ban on indoor cigarette smoking caused it to take a huge hit, and regular drinking-age stings caused it to suffer further, and pandemic lockdowns were basically a nail in its coffin.

Sometimes the best thing the government can do for loneliness is mind its own fucking business.

It isn't the government's job. The Connecticut State government seems intent on wasting tax dollars- and rubbing the taxpayers' nose in it. High taxes and deficits until federal Covid money gave a temporary reprieve. Now, instead of doing any meaningful tax CUTTING they are being creative in finding ways to waste tax money and build more government that will need more tax money.
